Tom launched Affirmational Leadership after a distinguished 30 year career within the For Cause Sector. He served five leading United Ways and The Mid-South Eye Bank as their Chief Executive Officer. Combining his practical understanding of complex systems with behavioral training, Tom brings the academic world of Cognitive Science and the practical world of leading organizations with multi-million dollar budgets together to help other leaders realize new levels of performance and self satisfaction.
While Tom’s work history gives him insights into everything from Strategic Planning to Team development, he is most proud of his abilities to create interactive learning environments that provide the best platform for acquiring new knowledge and skills in an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere. But Tom is not all about work. He is a private pilot. He has run four marathons on three Continents. He has served on the Board of Debate Kansas City as a member and Board Chair. Tom is a member of the Tuskegee Airmen. And in his spare time Tom loves to play tennis and travel with his wife, Lana.
